Seeking help is a strong and courageous act.
If you are struggling with issues of depression or self-harm, there are people and organizations available to help you.
Speak to an adult family member or friend and let him/her know what you’re going through. Sharing your feelings is a positive step toward living better. If you need additional options for support, contact one of the organizations below. This is by no means an exhaustive list; whatever you’re going through, help is out there. You just need to reach out to find it.
If you are in a crisis now and need help urgently, call the toll-free, 24-hour National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, United States, at 1-800-273-8255. You will be put in touch with a skilled crisis worker who will listen to your problems and direct you to services in your area. Your call is confidential. Call and chat lines are available anytime, day or night.
If you are outside of the United States, search “suicide prevention” to locate call centers and resources in your country.
